This network is hosted by the Black Teacher Project (BTP), a program of the National Equity Project. BTP's mission is to develop and sustain Black teachers to lead and reimagine schools as communities of liberated learning. We believe every student should benefit from the diversity, excellence, and leadership of an empowered Black teaching force.
Our vision is to co-create a space of joyful and meaningful community for Black teachers throughout the world. Share resources, jobs and other opportunities, and support your fellow Black teachers to thrive!
Please invite your network of Black teachers to join our community by sharing this application link: https://bit.ly/btp-membership-application.
Through many requests and inquiries, the Black Teacher Project has identified a need for Black teachers to connect and share and find resources/opportunities with other Black teachers. Our team regularly receives requests to share job postings, wellness events, curriculum materials, volunteer opportunities, support in navigating oppressive contexts, support with activism initiatives, and inquiry about pedagogical challenges and approaches.
Our goal for this membership network is to increase Black teachers’ capacity to network and share information for and amongst themselves.
